The Master of Science in Finance is an intensive 16-month, full-time program (with a 12-month option) designed to develop analytical and technical skills in finance and risk management.

Program Focus

The program prepares candidates for positions that require technical expertise in the areas of risk management, asset management and general financial analysis.

M.Sc. Finance program graduates have a solid grounding in the fundamentals of finance, asset pricing, market risk management and credit risk management. Elective courses allow students to acquire additional expertise in the areas of enterprise risk management and accounting for financial instruments, or equity security analysis and strategic asset allocation.

Typically, successful candidates have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (business, economics, engineering, mathematics, the sciences) or have a facility for quantitative modeling. Some employment experience in the financial services sector is beneficial. In addition to being numerate, we expect candidates to have good written and oral communication skills.
