Some SFU Courses and Some Other Post Secondary Courses (Category 4)

1. MEET UNIVERSITY AND BUSINESS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Please note:  The Summer 2012 Admission GPA is 3.12.

The Beedie School of Business has three admission requirements which must be fulfilled in order to gain admission. These include:

Fall 2011 Admission:

  • Students will be selected competitively based on the grades achieved in the nine lower division requirement courses* (new admission requirements for Fall 2010 entry onward). In this category, the admission grade point average will be a combination of grades from the nine lower division courses earned at SFU and your other post secondary institution**.  To calculate your admission average, please visit our Cat 4 GPA Calculator.
  • Students will only be allowed a maximum of two repeated courses based on those nine lower division requirements courses (new admission requirements for Fall 2011 entry onwards). If you have more than two repeats on the nine lower division courses required for admissions, we will use your best two repeats to calculate your Business admission average.
  • A minimum SFU cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.40.
  • A minimum of 30 units completed, including the nine lower division courses.*

* *Your college and/or technical institute averages on any of your nine required courses will be decreased by 0.3 at your point of application to the Business program. For example, a grade of 3.42 on our BUS 237 transfer equivalent would become a 3.12. These courses will be combined with any of the nine required courses you may have taken at SFU.
