BusOne Program
Welcome to the Beedie School of Business
Welcome to the Beedie School of Business and the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.
The SFU BBA program immerses students in the real dynamics of business, combining classroom, workplace and international experiences. The program lets you arrange these experiences to suit your goals and your lifestyle, and provides the support and guidance you need along the way. You graduate with exceptional business expertise AND the confidence to forge a successful business career.
Business via BusOne
A unique way to begin your Business degree.
The Beedie School of Business provides a unique first year experience to incoming Business students through an interdisciplinary program called BusOne. In this limited seat program, students will be supported as they transition from high school to university.
Students will participate in one hour weekly workshops in the Fall term and will be introduced to what it's like to be a SFU Beedie Business student. The weekly meetings will focus on three areas of growth: academic, personal and social. Topics that will be covered include career exploration, choosing a concentration, time management skills, study strategies, presentation skills, cooperative education, international opportunities, and much more!
Students are also encourage to participate in the United Way Challenge, in which teams create a product or service to sell at the Market on the Mezzanine event. Check out the Fall 2010 BusOne winners or the story from the Fall 2011 students.
Note: students will still be enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program. BusOne is an additional support service that is offered to new students (at no extra cost!).

Where is the BusOne program offered?
The BusOne program is offered at both the Burnaby and Surrey campuses. However, the Surrey campus provides a more intimate experience due to the smaller class sizes. Students who begin their studies in BusOne at the Surrey campus often feel more comfortable in their first year at SFU. Also, these students will be given registration priority in Surrey campus classes.
What happens after the BusOne progam?
The BusOne program is for the Fall term only. After this time, participants will be free to take their courses at either the Burnaby or Surrey campus while they finish their degree requirements.
Who is eligible for the BusOne program?
