Non-Business Student Access to UD BUS Courses
Students other than those accepted into a program in Business Administration may complete selected 300 and 400 division business administration courses contingent upon
- space available on the day before the semester of classes begins
- meeting the prerequisites for the requested course
- minimum suggested cumulative grade point average of 2.67
Registration in Bus 360W and upper division courses in the honours accounting concentration is limited to students who are approved in a business plan.
"Backdoor" BBA’s:
For students who are currently attempting to complete a business plan or BBA by the “back door” method, please note the following:
- If you have 3 upper division BUS courses taken at SFU, 1 of which is a business core course, successfully completed by the end of Summer 09, you will be permitted to continue with the back door minor by registering on the day before the semester of classes begin, space permitting and pre-requisites met.
- If you have successfully completed all 300 level upper division business core courses and 1 400-division BUS course at SFU by the end of Summer 09, you will be permitted to continue with the back door major* or joint major** by registering on the day before the semester of classes begin, space permitting and pre-requisites met.
*limit of 1 concentration permitted; concentration may not be in accounting
** no concentration required or permitted
If you do not meet either of the requirements above, you will not be able to pursue any back door BUS plan.
