TD Canada Trust Distinguished Teaching Award

An endowment by TD Canada Trust, with a matching grant from the B.C. Provincial Government, will provide for up to two annual distinguished teaching awards for instructors teaching in the Beedie School of Business undergraduate or graduate Business programs.
Call for Nominations 2013
Who May Nominate?Students who have taken or are taking Beedie School of Business courses, Beedie alumni, and Beedie faculty members.
What Should the Nomination Contain?
The Selection Committee requires the names of the nominator and the nominee, the nominator's SFU student number, and a statement explaining the basis, or rationale, for the nomination. The nomination statement should be as specific and detailed as is reasonably possible. Nominations can be made through the online nomination form by using your SFU ID and password. (see link below)
Who May Be Nominated?
Tenure-track faculty in the Beedie School of Business, plus all sessional staff (lecturers or instructors) teaching BUS or BUEC courses. Teaching assistants are not eligible.
- Must be nominated by students who have taken or are taking BUS courses, Beedie alumni, or Beedie faculty;
- Eligible for the award after 6 teaching semesters;
- Previous winners are eligible after a 4 calendar-year hiatus (once every 5 years); INELIGIBLE WINNERS LIST

Upon What Basis Will Awards Be Granted?
Awards will be based upon excellence and distinction in teaching and in teaching-related activities such as course development and teaching materials preparation.
How to Submit Nominations?
Completed nominations are submitted to the attention of the Chair, TD Canada Trust Distinguished Teaching Award Selection Committee via websurvey at: TD Canada Trust Online Nomination Form
What is the Deadline for Nominations?
Nominations must be received no later than March 31, 2013.
