[Volunteer Opportunity] Business Leisure and Health – Beyond the Game

Posted on:

We have all grown up with the experiences of playing organized sports and going to summer camps. Those experiences have helped us form great memories, lasting friendships and helped us develop into the people we are today.

Right now there are many kids who cannot even consider joining organized sports, let alone go to summer camp. That is why we are hosting, “Beyond the Game”, a Charity one day summer camp for kids ages 6-12 at Steveston Community Center. This is an event to raise money for every child’s RIGHT TO PLAY.

Together with the non-profit-organization, “Right to Play”, we are looking to raise funds for these children.

“Right to Play” is an not-for-profit organization that champions for every child’s right to play. We are currently looking for qualified volunteers for our one day camp. We were wondering if you could send out an email with regards to our needs.

We are looking for qualified individuals who:

1. Be available on July 17th from 8:30-4 PM
2. Have soccer experience
3. Have experience working with kids
4. Clean criminal record
5. We request they submit a picture and a resume
6. They are available for one training session
7. The camp will be held at Steveston Community Center, in Richmond

I believe this is a great opportunity for SFU students to make a difference in the community. I appreciate your consideration and I hope to be hearing from you soon. If you would like any more information, please feel free to contact me, look on our website (www.beyondthegame.ca), or check out our facebook page at Beyond the Game.
