Career Tip of the Week: November 29 – December 5 – Elevator Pitch

Posted on:

Creating Your Elevator Pitch:  The Foundation of Your Personal Brand

The initial step in building your personal brand is to develop your “elevator pitch” – an introduction of who you are and what you are looking for.  The best introductions provide enough background information and enthusiasm so the other person wants to continue a conversation with you.  It can be used in various, professional business situations that include:  networking events, career fairs and formal interviews.  In crafting your pitch, you should consider who you are and what makes you unique, your major accomplishments and main strengths, and what you are looking for.
