Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? Research shows that only 2% of professionals are working in the career they believed they would be in when they were 18 years old.

Whether you are trying to choose a concentration or figure out which careers might be a fit for you, this workshop will help you identify where you fit. This workshop and the corresponding self-assessment tool, Career Leader, will help you discover your own interests, skills and motivators and how to explore and gain valuable experience in those areas. Career Leader was designed by staff at Harvard and is used at most of the top ranked business schools. This assessment will help you start identifying where you best fit including how you match to 33 top business careers. You will see industry sketches and career descriptions, get insights into which organizational cultures may be the best match for your own unique personality and where your personal career challenges may lie. You will come away from this workshop with a better understanding of how to incorporate your interests into your career and academic planning through activities, discussion and take-home resources.

*Note: The online Career-Leader self-assessment must be completed prior to attending the workshop – it takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

We are piloting this new workshop and registration is open all Beedie students. CMC will cover the $25 cost of the self-assessment so this workshop is free of charge. Space is limited so please sign up early.
