Peak Performance Case Competition 2012 – Register Now | July 14

Posted on:

The Fifth annual Peak Performance is the 1st/2nd year case competition that will take place on Saturday, July 14th at the SFU Burnaby campus.

Team registration is now open and there will be a capped limit of 25 teams.  If you do not have a team but are interested in competing, then let us know and in the end, if we have incomplete teams or a team spot available, we can then assign you to a team.  Registration is on a first come first served basis.  Once a list of 25 teams has been compiled, a waiting list will be started.

Your time commitment to the event is actually all day on Friday the 13th as well as Saturday the 14th.  This is a 24 hour deliberation case competition and you will need time on the Friday to analyze the case and create your presentation.  Industry professionals, SFU faculty and SFU Alumni will judge your finished analysis and presentation.

If you have always wanted to know what a case competition is all about, here is your opportunity.  You don’t need any experience or practice. Previous competitions have been huge successes and students have all had a tremendous experience.  Some of them moved on to represent the Beedie School of Business at other competitions.

Eligible Teams:

1. You will set up a team of three students who have completed 60 credit hours or less as of the end of the 2012 Spring semester (We are firm on this rule – if you have more than 60 credits, please register for the Elite Case Competition instead).

2.  Added to the team is one student with more than 60 credit hours who will be your team facilitator/coach (This student can not be an alumni).

3.  Your team of three may have one non-business student if you choose.

You eventually will also have to come up with a team name.  (Start thinking about this because if you do not have one, Melissa-Sue will give you a very creative name! ie: “The Polka-Dot Pterodactyls”)

Training will be provided so the team and the coach can understand and learn how to analyze a case and how to present a case.

Registration is on a first come first serve basis! Email Melissa-Sue Read at mar2@sfu.ca to register your team now!

Please note that we request you to list your ENTIRE team in the email in this format:
