Map the System Challenge
Event: Thu November 16, 2017Nov 07, 2017
Map the System Challenge (formerly the ‘Oxford Global Challenge’) is an opportunity for students and campus community members to apply their passion and knowledge to a social or environmental issue, with a focus on deeply understanding the problems before trying to solve them. Groups can build on existing work from classes or personal projects, or explore an entirely new topic.
Last year, students from the Beedie School of Business participated in Map the System, and brought to the table unique perspectives on: post-migration trauma; food waste; youth aging out of government care; and HIV and race. These are just a few great examples of how students can focus their research projects on problem spaces that they are deeply curious about.
