Nancy Fournier, BA, DipEduc

Associate Director - BBA (Burnaby Campus)

Nancy manages the Career Management Centre for undergraduate business students and alumni. She identifies and implements new career programs for BBA students and makes process improvements for the CMC while overseeing a dedicated team of career professionals. Nancy works closely with companies representing all areas of concentration in all industries who wish to connect and build relationships with BBA students. As well, she coordinates the annual CA Recruit on campus in the fall semester. The majority of Nancy's career has involved working in the post secondary arena engaging in career advising, business development, program planning and ultimately helping to bridge the gap between students, alumni and employers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology along with a Diploma in Education (Guidance Studies) from UBC.

Klara Sinclair, BSc, MBA

Associate Director, Student Relations & Programming (Segal Campus)

Klara oversees the student relations and programming/activities for the graduate student/alumni population at the Career Management Centre. Klara works with students and alumni from the EMBA program and alumni from the full-time MBA program. Her professional experience includes over six years at the Sauder School of Business working with both students and various employers in the business community. Klara holds a wealth of program development, career coaching and workshop experience with both Graduate and Undergraduate students in a career search capacity having been in the field for over 10 years. Klara holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an EMBA degree, both from Simon Fraser University.

Christine Sjolander, MEng

Associate Director, Employer Relations (Segal Campus)

Christine oversees the employer relations activity for the Career Management Centre at the Beedie School of Business. She also works directly with the students in the Management of Technology / Biotechnology MBA program. Her professional experience includes contingency recruiting for several leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and technology companies in the United States and more than seven years in MBA / MBS career development services at the University of California, Irvine and the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences. Christine holds an undergraduate degree in business and a masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University.

Lisa Dalla Vecchia

Manager, Corporate Communications and Outreach (Segal Campus)

Lisa has worked at the Career Management Centre in a variety of roles and capacities since joining the team in 2007. Her primary responsibilities currently include marketing communications, employer relations and social media, with a mandate to build and maintain awareness of the SFU Beedie brand among employers. Prior to working in career management, Lisa held several roles with some of the country's largest insurance providers. Lisa has studied Arts at Simon Fraser University, completed her Global Career Development Facilitator training and is continuing her professional development through SFU's Business Communication and Professional Writing Program.

Rochelle Diablo, BA

Events and Marketing Coordinator (Segal Campus)

Rochelle Diablo is responsible for managing all on on-campus employer information sessions, on campus interviews and industry career panels hosted at the Segal Graduate School of Business. She also manages the annual Business Career Expo, one of the largest business career fairs in Canada, and several other recruiting and employer relationship-building events on behalf of the CMC. Rochelle previously joined us from Scotia Dealer Advantage, subsidiary of Scotiabank and brings HR, Sales and Marketing experience to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Liberal Arts, both from Simon Fraser University.

Jessica Arratia, BBA (M, W, alternating F)

Career Advisor (Burnaby Campus)

Jessica works with students and alumni from our undergraduate Business program by conducting career workshops and providing one-on-one coaching appointments related to career search and career development. Jessica brings many years of related experience from her previous role in Human Resources at Kodak (formerly Creo) where she worked in many HR functions including recruitment, performance management and compensation. While at Kodak, Jessica recruited for positions in many levels and functional areas of the organization and gained valuable insight and experience in employer expectations regarding student and new grad recruitment. Jessica has a joint Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Human Resources) and Psychology from Simon Fraser University.

Eunice Koh, BBA 

Career Advisor (Burnaby Campus)

Eunice is our full time Career Advisor and also works with students and alumni from the Business program. She provides one-on-one coaching related to career search and career development, as well as facilitating career workshops. Eunice completed five Business Co-op work terms with the Canada Revenue Agency, TELUS, and SFU. Her work experiences were primarily focused on Product Marketing, developing promotional material, and assisting with a range of HR functions. Eunice has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Human Resources, Marketing) with a minor in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University.

Kathleen McConnell, BA (Political Science)

Career Advisor (Burnaby Campus)

Kathleen is a BBA Career Advisor who provides one-on-one coaching related to career search and career development, and facilitates career workshops for students and alumni of the Business program. She also coordinates the Mentors in Business program, connecting Beedie students with mentors in the Lower Mainland business community. Kathleen started her career in retail management and training & development; as a result, she has hired, trained, and managed hundreds of staff and managers. After moving into Career Services, Kathleen has worked in employer relations, business development, mentorship, and recruitment coordination with the goal of helping employers connect with students. This experience developed Kathleen's understanding of what employers are looking for in candidates--an understanding that she now shares with Beedie students. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University and has a deep interest in marketing, social media, leadership, and business strategy.

Michelle Lowe, BBA, MSc

MBA Career Advisor (Segal Campus)

Michelle is responsible for assisting the graduate students in the full-time MBA program through conducting career workshops and providing one-on-one coaching appointments related to career search and career development. Michelle has several years of work experience in recruitment, along with a background in administration working in a variety of offices locally and internationally. She is a graduate of SFU's Bachelor of Business Administration program, and also holds an MSc. in Organizational Behaviour from the Queen's School of Business.

Robyn Behlke, BA

M.Sc. Finance Career Advisor (Segal Campus)

Robyn is responsible for assisting graduate students in the Master of Science in Finance program through conducting career workshops and providing one-on-one coaching appointments related to career search and development. She is the main point of contact for financial services and insurance firms for the Beedie School of Business, and also coordinates the annual on-campus finance recruitment events in the fall semester for both undergraduate and graduate business students. Robyn has over 10 years of corporate recruitment and human resources experience in a variety of industries, including six years within the banking and insurance sector, and has worked for global companies such as Citigroup Inc., Hewitt Associates, and Manulife Financial Group. Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with concentrations in International Business and Management, from Jamestown College in the United States. 

Preet Brar

Program Assistant (Burnaby Campus)

Preet is the first point of contact for all undergraduate student career-related needs, such as how to book career coaching appointments, register for events, and access online and in-office career resources. She brings a diverse background with many years experience in banking, recruitment, and the post-secondary sector. Her work experience has provided her valuable insight into understanding the requirements of students and employers. Preet holds a Marketing Management Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is working toward her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Human Resources) at Thompson Rivers University.

Gloria Lee, BA (Sociology)

Program Assistant (Burnaby Campus) 

Gloria assists BBA students and supports the Career Management Centre staff on a number of projects and initiatives. She brings a wealth of experience in the post-secondary sector, having assumed roles that focused largely on assisting and supporting students, leading presentations, liaising with employers, and designing marketing campaigns. Her work experience in a career resource centre has allowed her to understand and appreciate the unique issues that confront both undergraduate students and employers. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Simon Fraser University and has completed several professional development courses such as Digital Marketing Online and International Marketing.  

Sarah Jiang, BBA

Program Assistant, Student Relations (Segal Campus) 

Sarah is responsible for assisting graduate students/alumni related to the Career Management Centre at the Segal Graduate School of Business. She is your first point of contact for all your career-related needs such as requesting access to online and in-office resources, and registering for events. Sarah has previously worked with TD Canada Trust and the South Granville Seniors Centre and brings several years of customer service and administrative experience to her role as Program Assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in HR and Accounting from Simon Fraser University.

Darien Edgeler, BA

Program Assistant, Employer Relations (Segal Campus) 

Darien is responsible for supporting employer recruiting programs, managing job postings, maintaining the Career Management Centre's contact database, assisting with the expansion of Beedie Community, and bolstering employer outreach efforts. Darien has provided administrative support for a number of local firms, and has spent seven years working with investment clients in the financial services sector. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University.
