How We Can Help You
Our role in facilitating your achievement does not end in the classroom.
From our offices at the Segal Graduate School, we offer a range of support services and programs specific to your graduate program. From extensive career coaching sessions to a library of resources, we pride ourselves in providing you with the most current knowledge and planning tools available to help maximize your unique skill set and academic background. With the goal of helping you better understand your industry of choice, we also connect you to the business community through networking events, company information sessions and guest speakers. By developing your career management strategy, you will be empowered to apply your work experience and academic perspective to today's changing business environment.
The foundation of our work with you is the Career Management Program. Based on the best practices of the top career centres in North America and the leading out-placement firms, we have developed a tailored program that includes over 45 hours of instruction on topics such as: self assessment, career mapping, professional business attire, networking and relationship building, researching industries and careers, writing resumes and cover letters, interview skills (including mock interviews) and business and dining etiquette. These highly interactive sessions are taught by our staff and guest recruitment experts.
Each program has a dedicated advisor with relevant industry experience who can advise you on your career strategy as well as help you connect to industry professionals and alumni. Career Advisors work with you to ensure that your cover notes, resumes and other documents are professional and clearly and concisely communicate what you want to do moving forward in your career.
