Mehran Heidarzadeh is a first year doctoral student in Technology Management and Organization Theory area at SFU Business. He started his studies in 2009, co-supervised by Tom Lawrence and Ian McCarthy. Mehran joined us from Tehran, where he recently worked as a professional software developer and management consultant. Before that, he completed a Master of Business Administration in the Graduate School of Management and Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, both at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
He was ranked 41st out of more than 20,000 participants in the National Graduate Study Exam in the field of Management (2004) and won a Silver Medal at the 13st International Olympiad in Informatics and several other programming awards during his undergrad.
Mehran is currently collaborating with Ian McCarthy and Tom Lawrence in a project studying University Research Parks. The goal of this project is to develop and test theories on how variations in park contexts, strategies and practices combine to influence the performance of firms inside the park.
