What

This is an online program at the graduate level that provides a solid foundation in business fundamentals for people with undergraduate degrees in non-business disciplines.

Program Focus

The online Graduate Diploma in Business Administration program will broaden your understanding of how business operates and your role in it.

Who

Students in the program come from a wide variety of educational and career backgrounds. Some are just starting out, others have a lot of experience but want to consolidate that with a solid business foundation. Age ranges from mid-20’s to early 40’s. Each group brings a wealth of opportunity for exploration, team building and exchange of knowledge.

When

Begin the program in January, May or September. The program can be completed in as little as 12 months (three semesters), online by taking a full course load (two courses per term). Or take a lighter course load over a longer completion period. A two day in-person orientation begins the first semester.

Application Deadlines

• November 1 for January start
• March 1 for May start
• July 1 for September start

Time

The GDBA requires a significant commitment. Expect to spend 10 - 15 hours per week on each course (A full course load is two courses per semester).

Technology Requirements

• Recommended computer system configuration:
• We recommend 1GB of RAM or better
• ADSL or cable modem for internet connection
• Microsoft Office (educational pricing available)
• Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari

As an SFU student, you can use the computers in the Macintosh and IBM labs at Harbour Centre.

Tuition

Program tuition is approximately $14,500*. Plus approx $2,500 for textbooks and student fees. Fees are established per credit hour and set on an annual basis. Tuition payable is based on the number of credits enrolled in each semester. Tuition is due before the start of each semester.
