Admissions

Are you the right fit?

Good business thrives on relationships and the ability to work together effectively. The admissions committee selects those applicants they believe will work well in a collegial, supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, diversity and dynamic learning.

Who we are looking for

Professional experience

We look closely at your work experience in the EMBA application. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years or more of work experience; with at least 4 of those years in a managerial or professional position.

The average amount of experience of our EMBA students is 18 years with 10 or more years of management experience.

Successful applicants typically have experience in some or all of the following areas.

  • team management
  • project management
  • account management
  • managing a large client base
  • managing technology

Current employment in a management position is also very important. Your work and life experiences in addition to your resume, self-evaluation and 3 references are reviewed by the admissions committee, with stronger candidates being invited to interview.

Candidates who are invited to interview should expect to provide strong examples of their management and leadership experience.

Please note that the Executive MBA program is unable to accept individuals who are not currently working.

Academic achievements

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.33 (B), or a grade point average of at least 3.33/4.33 (B+) based on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses. Exceptional managers (as determined by career progression) who have a CGPA lower than a 3.0/4.33 (B) in their undergraduate degree, or lack a formal degree or professional designation, but have other outstanding qualifications may be admitted into the program. These applicants will be evaluated on the depth of their work experience, academic background and management/leadership skills. In some cases, the GMAT may be recommended as a way to strengthen an application.

English language proficiency

You must demonstrate proficiency in English. Students whose first language is not English, or who obtained their undergraduate degree from an institution where the main language of instruction was not English, are required to take either the TOEFL or IELTS.
