Beedie School of Business & CMC-Canada Partnership
The Beedie School of Business at the Simon Fraser University is proud to offer its MBA students the opportunity to complete the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada) requirements leading to the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation while working towards an MBA at Beedie School of Business.
What is CMC-Canada?
CMC-Canada administers, and its provincial Institutes confer, the CMC designation in Canada. The association and its members advocate for the CMC designation and are dedicated to advancing the profession and delivering the benefits of those efforts to the client community. CMC-Canada is a founding member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI).
What is a CMC-Canada designation?
The CMC designation is the profession's only international certification mark, recognized in more than 40 countries. It represents a commitment to the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession.
What does the partnership with CMC-Canada mean?
To be eligible to purse the CMC designation – you are required to have 3 years management consulting experience. This partnership will allow students and recent alumni of the Beedie Full-time, Part-time, Executive, and Management of Technology MBA programs to count certain classes within the programs towards the 3600 hours of consulting experience required to qualify for the prestigious CMC designation. This would essentially be 3 months of the required 36 months (3 years) needed.
