Opportunity through technology
MOT MBA students have different aims coming into the program. Some want to move up to a leadership role at their current company, while others are looking for a career change. Some even want to start a new tech venture.
Take Kody Baker (MOT MBA 2014) for example. He co-founded VeloMetro Mobility, a company that has invented a new mode of transportation. (Read Kody's story) Whatever your career aims, we’ll help you develop a plan to get to where you want to be.

Network with industry professionals
In addition to industry professionals as guest speakers in the classroom, each semester the Beedie School of Business invites CEOs, senior managers and other distinguished speakers to the Segal graduate building to share their experiences and advice with MOT MBA students. It’s a unique opportunity to learn from and network with business and technology leaders in an intimate, classroom setting.
As an MOT student, you also have the opportunity to be paired one-on-one with a mentor who is a senior professional and leader within the technology industry. Your career services team will provide individual introductions for informational interviews, hosts industry recruiting events with companies seeking talent and provides an exclusive job board for employers specifically seeking to hire SFU Beedie graduates.
