About LSG

LSG's Values

The values of Partnership, Flexibility and Integration are the foundations of our approach to the diverse relationships we cultivate and projects we engage in. Whether providing consultative services, designing learning platforms or programs, or managing the administration of learning, these principles are central to the quality of our service and our own sense of fulfillment.

Partnership

LSG has many long-term relationships with clients that have evolved into full partnerships across a number of dimensions. Our ability to learn with our partners and clients often results in projects growing in directions beyond the  initial offering. Having had considerable success with large, multi-year learning initiatives, we have proven expertise in designing and delivering a range of strategic learning solutions and have gained in-depth knowledge of diverse organizations and industry sectors.

Flexibility

LSG was founded on the belief that learning occurs in a number of settings: in workplaces, communities, in the family as well as in institutional settings. We recognize and support Simon Fraser University’s mandate to provide innovative, cross disciplinary learning experiences for individuals while contributing back our local, national and international communities and organizations to enable them to achieve their learning goals. For these reasons, we integrate Simon Fraser University's extensive faculty, knowledge resources and research into our own demonstrated capacity to assess, design and deliver innovative learning solutions and consulting services.

Integration

We believe that all aspects of a learning solution must be considered and integrated to optimize client outcomes while supporting participant learning. To maximize value, effective integration of learning solutions encompasses everything from preliminary design work; communications to prospective participants, managers and organizational sponsors; preparation and selection of participants; instruction and support services; ongoing feedback and follow‐up (including recognition and celebration); and post program contact to ensure adequate knowledge transfer as any missing element or disconnect will detract from individual experience and organizational impact. We view the careful management of integration as best practice.
