Financial Aid
Need-based awards from external and university sources are administered through Student Services' Financial Assistance office. Financial Aid comes in the form of university administered bursaries and loans, as well as government loans and grants. For more information, please visit http://students.sfu.ca/fa/.
Teaching Assistantships
Students who have taken undergraduate business courses may be eligible for teaching assistantship positions or marker positions. Qualified master's students may be hired to do various tasks such as conduct weekly tutorials, mark assignments and exams, hold office hours, respond to student emails and assist the professor of a given undergraduate course. Students are paid based on the number of hours worked weekly. The average time commitment per week is eight to ten hours. For more information, visit http://beedie.sfu.ca/current-students/ta/.
Student Line of Credit- up to $50,000
The BMO Professionals Program aims to assist students with tuition, books and personal living expenses as well as meeting everyday banking needs while enrolled (part-time or full-time) in a SFU Segal School of Business MBA program. Student can qualify up to $50,000 (upon meeting the Bank's usual credit criteria) at a highly competitive interest rate of prime+1%. Students are required to make interest-only payments while in school and do not have to repay principal until 1 year after the completion of their program, however additional payments can be made at any time without penalty. Enjoy easy access to the line of credit through free (and unlimited) Line of Credit Cheques and a BMO Line of Credit Mastercard.
