SFU’s Coast Capital Savings Venture Connection client Orello Hearing Technologies took home first place at the 2017 Hong Kong-Canada Investment Pitch Competition held earlier this month. In all, four SFU-affiliated companies made the prestigious top-six final. The competition is part of the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association (HKCBA) National Conference. Members of the International Society for Organization Development and Change have voted to name an article co-authored by Beedie Professor Gervase Bushe as the best article published in the Organizational Development Journal during 2016. The award was presented at the society’s conference on May 17, 2017.

An interdisciplinary team of SFU undergraduates has won first place overall in The Oxford Global Challenge, an international competition for students to explore and present ideas around social and environmental change. The global finals of the competition took place in Oxford, UK, on April 30 and May 1, 2017.
