and be available for training workshops throughout the semester (usually weekends)

·       Registered as full-time or co-op student for the semester of the competition.

·       Have excellent presentation skills

How The Process Works

·       Fill out the Application form for the competition(s) you are interested in, prior to the closing date. Under no circumstances will late applications be accepted.

·       All Applications must be filled in accurately and completely, failure to do so may result in the rejection of your application.  Please double check your information is correct before you submit the application.

·       All Applications will be reviewed and selected based on the merits of the application. We will make our best effort to interview as many qualified applicants as possible.  However, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

·       Applications will be reviewed by the Student Engagement Office and the Faculty team coach.

·       The team coach will make the final selections based on interviewing the candidates.

·       Each candidate may be asked to make a short presentation to demonstrate their presentation and communication skills.

·       We will select one alternate for each team. The alternate will practice with the team, but is not guaranteed to compete that year.  However, they will be given selection priority for the following years competition.

Application Form:

·       Please target your application to each type of competition you apply for.  Previous applications will not be used for current competition selection.  What will be helpful if you intend to be applying for more than one competition is to create a word document where you can store your previous responses and edit them for future applications.

·       Please see the Calendar section to find out more about the competitions we are currently taking applications for.
