"Innovation in business…most of the time often happens by simply connecting the business & technology dots."
How did you train/study for the kind of technology management role you enjoy today?
I have a French engineering degree in Telecommunication and Digital Signal Processing (= baccalaureat + 5 years of studies) and I've been working personally a lot on IT and computer software, just because I like technology.
From your perspective, what kind of need exists in wireless/communication products industry for business graduates trained in technology management?
My point of view is mainly EU / French. There is a dramatic lack of expertise in business and finance. I cannot talk much for Vancouver, but what I feel since I've moved in BC is a little bit similar, where people seems to be very focused on their core expertise and do not develop a minimum "transversal" view. My role today is mainly focused toward innovation, and innovation in business (not fundamental research) most of the time often happens by simply connecting the business & technology dots.
