The whole experience has been so culturally, emotionally, and socially rewarding. Not only was I able to share the work that I’ve been doing, but also meet new Indigenous professionals across Canada and the U.S. I was able to hear different perspectives and utilize the knowledge I absorbed through the professors and incorporate them into my day-to-day work. It’s been a transformative experience for me—personally and professionally.

Dennis Thomas-Whonoak

Senior Business Development Manager

Tsleil-Waututh Nation

SFU Beedie’s MBA is very diverse in its courses offered and has given me a different perspective and multiple lenses from which to analyze problems. I’m now able to tackle problems from a more creative approach. My toolbox has grown, and I feel well equipped to take on almost anything.

Johanna Ferguson

Project Manager

Teck Resources Limited

The Career Management Centre (CMC) and the faculty at SFU Beedie do a very good job of bringing in local professionals for the students to meet. There are seminars, career fairs, mock interviews, and so on. These are tremendous opportunities that students should take advantage of.

Eric Lanoix, MScFin

VP, Quantitative Risk

Coast Capital Savings

I wanted to learn about how all the pieces fit together and gain a better understanding of the roles different professionals play in the wealth management industry that services high-net-worth clients. SFU Beedie’s EMBA program became an avenue for me to learn about wealth management, how it all fits together, and my role in it.

Raphael Tachie

Partner & Head of Private Client Services Group, Vancouver

Gowling WLG

SFU Beedie’s BBA program absolutely gave me the tools I needed to get a running start in consulting. I started my job already speaking the language of business, already with an idea of how to dissect complex business problems, and already experienced in presenting recommendations to clients. I feel fortunate that I was set up for success with the education I received.
