Since the creation of Canada’s first Executive MBA in 1968, Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business has emerged as a dynamic teaching and learning setting with a reputation for producing global-class research for the knowledge economy.
We are based in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia—Canada’s Asia Pacific Gateway and a growing hub for international trade, entrepreneurship and technology.
Rankings
SFU has been named top comprehensive university in Canada in the 2024 Maclean’s rankings, and for 16 out of the past 17 years. Maclean's also recognizes SFU's business program as one of the top in Canada (#12).
The 2024 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), which measure how universities create value for society, placed SFU as the top university in Canada for innovation and second in Canada for entrepreneur spirit . This marks the fourth consecutive year that SFU is Canada’s top university in the overall innovation category and the only Canadian university to break into the innovation Top 50. Globally, WURI ranks SFU 15th among innovative universities.
Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings listed SFU as second in Canada for international outlook, and globally places SFU 251-300 overall.
SFU is also ranked 17th in the world (#4 in Canada) in THE’s 2024 Impact Rankings, which measure contribution to advancement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THE ranks SFU as follows:

Our programs
Our undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs demonstrate a spirit of innovation, flexibility and relevance. Supported by extensive partnerships with public, private and not-for-profit organizations, our goal is to produce broadly educated, enterprising and socially responsible managers capable of making lasting contributions to their communities.
Our students
Over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students from around the world study at all three SFU campuses in Downtown Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey. With over 31,000 alumni in over 80 countries, SFU Beedie offers lifelong engagement opportunities through annual reunions, educational tune-ups and research events.

Indigeneity Commitment
SFU's Beedie School of Business acknowledges the importance of aligning our programs with:- British Columbia’s legal obligations under Bill 41;
- Canada’s legal obligations under Bill C-15 to be consistent with the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (UNDRIPA); and
- the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's Calls to Action, notably number 92.
