“These doors would have never been opened for me if not for the EMBA.”

My experience at SFU Beedie
The Executive MBA program gave me more than credentials and academic knowledge; it helped me expand my professional network beyond the world of baseball. Through the program, I met valuable connections in my geographic region who are all going to be the future movers and shakers of the world.
My Journey
Before starting the Executive MBA (EMBA) program, I was serving as General Manager at the Vancouver Canadians. Even though I enjoyed my job, I knew my growth potential within the organization was limited. I decided to pursue the EMBA to get an edge into the corporate world.
Through the program, I gained practical business knowledge and connections that allowed me to successfully transfer out of the sports industry. A month after graduating, I was hired at EY as Manager of Advisory Services and Performance Improvement.
Highlights
The Executive MBA program deepened my knowledge of all areas of business and honed my strategic analysis skills. Moreover, it boosted my confidence in my leadership abilities and created new career possibilities for me.
Where I am today
I now serve as Manager of Advisory Services and Performance Improvement at EY, where I develop integrated business strategies for clients. This door would have never opened for me if not for the EMBA.
