Tailor Your Resume
Dec 13, 2017
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Has it been a while since you updated your resume or are you pivoting into a new role or industry?

Creating a tailored resume increases your chance of obtaining an interview as the focus is on what the employer wants to hear vs what you want to say. It is also easier to write a resume if you are writing it towards a specific job posting vs trying to create a "generic" or "general" resume.

Join career advisors Jen Winiski and Wendy Lawson at the Tailor Your Resume Workshop on Wednesday, December 13th, Surrey Campus, Room 5060

In addition to registering on Beedie Community, please send your current resume, along with your answer to the following questions to either Jen Winiski ( or Wendy Lawson (

  1. What are your "pain" points around writing your resume that you would like some assistance with?

What you need to bring to the workshop

  • Pen and paper that you can write on and pass a sheet to someone else
  • A job posting of a job that appeals to you – we will be working with this in the workshop
  • A highlighter
