Involvement Opportunities
Help Students Build Confidence Networking and Interviewing

Help support the career readiness of students by participating in the “Meet the Pros” networking event and one-on-one mock interviews. These events provide the opportunity for business professionals to provide 3rd-year business students with meaningful feedback on how they can improve the delivery of their personal brand in different settings. Future Prospect for the Chinese Economy
Thursday, July 19

China has been hailed as the economy of the 21st Century, set to overtake the American economy within less than a decade. However, the market is still institutionally immature and poses considerable risks for investors. In addition, China has embarked on its own globalization agenda with the Belt and Road Initiative as its base. In this talk, visiting scholar and Professor of Strategy and International Marketing at the University of Agder, Norway, Dr. Ilan Alon, will discuss the opportunities and threats of the Chinese economy and the prospects for its future development.

Dating and Cover Letters … Make the Connection

The cover letter is often the first impression that an employer has of you. Is it a good one? Is it targeted? Does it highlight the best of you? Or is it all about what you want to tell the recruiter?

By the end of this workshop you will:

– Be able to explain how writing a cover letter to a company asking for an interview is similar to asking for a date
– Know why you need to tailor your cover letter every time
– Have practiced writing a section of a cover letter
