RULES AND REGULATIONS

To celebrate our alumni community, we are hosting a giveaway where one lucky SFU Beedie alumni can win an iPad and Apple Pencil. From July 7^th through to August 31^st, 2020, SFU Beedie alumni from around the world are eligible to enter the giveaway by 1) updating their contact information through the form on SFU Beedie’s website OR by 2) updating their contact information through SFU Beedie’s advertisements on LinkedIn.

An iPad Air (64 GB) with an Apple Pencil (1^st Gen)

* Upgrades to Airpods are not permitted

ELIGIBILITY

The giveaway is open to all SFU Beedie alumni globally. Only one entry per alumni is permitted.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

The winner of the prize will be notified via email on September 1^st, 2020. The winner has until 3:00 PM PST on September 10^th, 2020 to accept their prize. If the winner does not reply to this notification by the above specified deadline, another winner will be selected.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The promoter is SFU Beedie School of Business whose registered office is located at 500 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC, V6C 1W6.
2. The giveaway is open to SFU Beedie Alumni.
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this giveaway.
4. By entering this giveaway, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5. This giveaway is being held on SFU Beedie School of Business’ website.
6. Only one entry will be accepted per person.
7. The contest will open at 9:00 AM PST on July 7^th, 2020.
8. Closing date for entries will be at 11:59 PM PST on August 31^st, 2020. After this date, no further entries to the giveaway will be permitted. Any updates made before or after these dates do not qualify as entries.
9. The promoter is not responsible for entries not received regardless of the cause for non-receipt.
10. The rules of the giveaway and how to enter are as follows: Provide us with your most up-to-date contact information via the form on the promoter’s website or through the promoter’s advertisements on LinkedIn. For the LinkedIn entries, alumni will be contacted via email to request permission to enter the giveaway.
11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in a force majeure event. Entrants will be notified of any changes to the giveaway as soon as possible by the promoter.
12. The promoter is not responsible for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s equipment (computer, mobile telephone or other device) used by you to enter into the giveaway or obtain any materials related to the giveaway.
13. A winner will be chosen by way of an automated system draw from all entries received and verified by the promoter.
14. The winner will be notified by email within 1 business day of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted within 3 days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and pick a replacement winner.
15. The promoter will coordinate delivery of the prize with the winner. Please note: The promoter cannot ship to P.O. boxes.
16. The winner of the giveaway will receive a prize. The value of the prize is $1,000. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. No cash or other prize substitutions shall be permitted.
17. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, provincial, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by the winner is permitted.
18. The winner agrees to supply the promoter with additional information that the promoter may reasonably require in order to process and facilitate the acceptance and/or use of the prizes and/or as required by law.
19. The promoter is not responsible, and disclaims all liability, for any loss, liability, injury, expense or damage of any nature, whether arising from negligence or any other cause, which is suffered by entrants’ participation in the giveaway or the acceptance and/or use by entrants, of the prize.
