The Centre aims to draw on the skills of a variety of people in order to promote research and knowledge dissemination as to how organizations plan and execute strategic change, and how best to measure the performance of organizations undergoing such change.

Led by the Centre Director, Ian McCarthy, and guided by an Advisory board, the Centre incorporates not only the expertise held by members of the Beedie School of Business Faculty at SFU but also the knowledge of experts from around the world through its Visiting Fellows program. These experts speak to both academic and practitioner audiences.

The Centre also provides support to Fellows – distinguished Faculty members of Beedie School of  Business – and Scholars – doctoral students working with the Centre – as part of its support for individual and team-based research on organizational change and to contribute to the training of new researchers.
