Speaker Series EMBA 50th Anniversary: Developing a Global Perspective

Time:5:30pm – 7:30pm
Location:Segal Salons
500 Granville Street, Vancouver

 On-Campus (Segal) Registration Required

The post-war world was characterized by unprecedented increases in flows of goods, capital and people. Moreover, these changes have resulted in an historical restructuring of the global economy, in particular with the rise of emerging markets. These changes require a global perspective, whether it be the decision to invest abroad, the awareness of potential competitors from unexpected places, and the multicultural nature of the domestic workforce. We will explore these ideas through the experience of various alumni who have worked extensively at home and abroad in various global contexts.

Facilitated by:
Danny Shapiro, B.A., M.A. Ph.D.
Professor, Global Business Strategy

This event is a part of the EMBA 50th Anniversary speaker series, facilitated by SFU Beedie EMBA faculty members. Each session will feature one of three pillar focus areas of our school: Innovation, Social Responsibility and Global Perspective, as well as a session focused on governance.

Registration for the speaker series are reserved for EMBA alumni.
