Students will compete in two categories: "product-ready" and "emergent business." Our esteemed judges include philanthropist investors, intellectual property experts, and successful serial entrepreneurs. These contestants will compete for substantial cash prizes!

ABOUT THE INVENTION TO INNOVATION (I2I) PROGRAM

The Invention to Innovation (i2I) program has transformed five cohorts, propelling PhD candidates, post-doctoral fellows, and researchers into scientist-entrepreneurship. This unique initiative champions innovation within industries, encourages translational scientists, and mobilizes knowledge for societal impact. In a world where science-based ventures are fraught with high uncertainties, formidable costs, intricate challenges, and protracted timelines, i2I offers a tailored solution.

The i2I skills training is an opportunity for aspiring scientists and technology entrepreneurs across Canada. In partnership with Mitacs, this program will host two cohorts: one in the East and another in the West, with the Eastern cohort delivered in collaboration with Queen's University. This skills training transformation of i2I has already earned international acclaim, featured in the annual "Innovations That Inspire" by AACSB International (AACSB), the world's largest business education network.
