Internal SFU Transfer

An SFU Beedie education is an academic journey and career pathway for curious, open-minded thinkers. Here, you’re free to take charge of your future and create an education defined by you. Put theory into practice and bring business to life through real-world projects and experience-based opportunities with applied outcomes.

Realize your academic and professional aspirations in a responsive and customized program. The BBA Major is grounded in the business theory, skills, and principles needed to tackle local and global challenges. Project-based learning, industry experience, and student-led co-curricular opportunities turn knowledge into action. You’ll learn with industry and academic experts in an immersive and collaborative environment, and graduate with the skills desired by employers.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Choose from eight different study options that combine two different degree offerings. Discover how your passions and interests can intersect to add breadth to your business education. You’ll explore interdisciplinary approaches to society’s most pressing issues and put theory into action in results-driven projects.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Created in partnership with Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE), the Mechatronic Systems Engineering and Business Double Degree suits students interested in connecting high-tech engineering skills with the business acumen needed to make their projects viable.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Whether you’re inspired by the arts, sciences, education or any other discipline on offer at SFU, a minor in business can help you discover where your passions fit into the global economy. Designed for non-business majors, a Business Minor offers a foundation in business principles to complement and add value to your chosen field.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Advance your education by adding a certificate to your CV. SFU Beedie School of Business offers Business Major and Business Joint Major students the opportunity to tailor their studies even further with one or more Business Certificate programs. Learn more about each certificate through the SFU Calendar.

Certificate in Business Analytics and Decision Making (BADM)

The Certificate in Business Analytics and Decision Making (BADM) teaches you valuable skills in business analytics and decision-making, including the ability to ask the right questions, to manage data (databases and warehouses), and to be familiar with statistical and computational methods. Apply your newly acquired skills by completing a one-term capstone project working with an industry partner.

Certificate in Business Technology Management (BTM)

Designed by the Canadian Coalition for Tomorrow's ICT Skills (CCICT) and the academic community, the Certificate in Business Technology Management (BTM) focuses on innovation, leadership, and implementation of change in organizations, especially in the area of information and communications technology (ICT). Along with developing interpersonal communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, BTM students learn to analyze business processes, design appropriate technology-based solutions and lead projects.

Corporate Environment and Social Sustainability Certificate (CESS)

SFU Beedie and the Faculty of Environment cooperatively designed the Corporate Environment and Social Sustainability Certificate (CESS) to address the pressing environmental and social sustainability issues facing the modern business world. You’ll acquire relevant training and an understanding of the interconnected nature of the economy, environment, and society.

International Experiential Learning Certificate (IELC)

Business Major and Business Joint Major students benefit from exposure to the global environment in which we conduct modern business. Earn this certificate through a combination of international activities, language acquisition, and the study of a course related to the socio-economic and cultural environment in which international activities take place.

Charles Chang Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CCCIE)

Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) provides training to help you develop skills like creativity, adaptability, teamwork, communication and implementation. Whether your goal is to be a part of a team or one day lead your own, I&E skills are a valuable asset in today’s fast-paced environment. This certificate is open to all SFU students and is a complementary credential to a student’s primary degree.
