The Beedie School of Business has announced the appointment of three new members to its Dean’s External Advisory Board: Robin Dhir, Elio Luongo, and Stuart Payne.

The Dean’s External Advisory Board advises the Dean and faculty on strategy, and assists the school in the accomplishment of its mission and objectives. Its members provide expertise, guidance and direction in support of the school’s commitment to relevant education and research, focused on the changing needs of business and the economy.

Elio Luongo is Canadian Managing Partner and a member of KPMG’s Executive Committee, and International Tax Steering Group.  An alumnus of the Beedie School of Business, he has over 27 years of experience providing Canadian and international tax services to both public and large private organizations. He is currently Chair of the Executive Committee of The Vancouver Board of Trade, and will act as Chair of the Dean’s External Advisory Board.

Robin Dhir is President & COO of real estate developer Twin Brook Developments, and Strategic Advisor at leading international business law and litigation firm Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. An alumnus of the Beedie School of Business, Dhir has acted as spokesperson for many organizations within the political and philanthropic sectors, has advised politicians at all levels, and assisted non-profit and social organizations in enhancing their efforts.

Stuart Payne is the President & CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Canada, a global advertising agency network with 140 offices in 76 countries and over 6,500 staff. Prior to Saatchi, Payne, who is also an alumnus of the Beedie School of Business, was the Director and Officer of Toyota Canada, where he was the Director of Lexus Canada. He currently sits on Saatchi’s Toyota Worldwide Executive Board, and is a past member of the Board of Governors at the Institute of Communication Agencies.
