Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

I have a fairly fast career growth after graduating from university, I realized that I hit my career ceiling now and I believe the transferable knowledge and skillsets that I could get through the MBA program would assist me in launching a strategic leadership role in the healthcare setting. The one-year program setting and strong alumni network is the reason I choose SFU Beedie School of Business. The analytical, strategic thinking, networking, problem- solving and conflict resolution skills that I will gain from SFU Beedie will assist me in obtaining my dream job after graduation.

What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

I would describe SFU Beedie as a supportive and engaging community. All the program staff are always willing to help whenever you need it. They would share student-engaging opportunities, the housing rental tip in Vancouver, or even invite previous students to share their MBA experiences. The professors provide office hours to answer questions that you may have about the course materials. The Career Management Centre assists you with resume reviews and interview preparation to help you find your dream job offer after graduation.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

SFU Beedie’s culture is very down-to-earth. Despite being one of the best institutions in Vancouver, SFU Beedie’s faculty and staffs have made them as available as they can to students. Professors open many office hours to answer questions from students. These supports definitely help students to adapt to a new environment and improve their knowledge.
