Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

I was motivated to get an MBA because I realized that enhancing my analytical and strategic skills will enable me to accomplish more in life. The knowledge and applied experience offered by an MBA program can be applied to any industry. They enable me to expand my scope to explore other industries as well.

I believe the SFU Beedie MBA can uniquely prepare me to achieve my goals. When I first saw the sentence “The MBA that puts you first”, it really touched my heart. I believe a student-centred learning environment at SFU Beedie can help me discover my own strengths and develop new skills.

What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

I have enjoyed many great experiences at Beedie so far. The relatively small student group can interact and bond easily. I really like the diverse background of our cohort. I enjoy getting to know other cultures, viewpoints, and industries.

I also enjoy attending career fair and recruitment events. I look forward to attending more events to expand my network in Vancouver and Canada.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

I can say SFU Beedie always puts student experiences first. It has a culture focusing on supporting students to help personal development and promotes a safe and inclusive environment. I feel perfectly welcome and respected here.
