Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

After working in the technology domain as a program manager across various sectors, I believe it was the right time for me to understand the intricacies of business at a strategic level. By taking on challenging projects, alongside the diverse cohort, I will be able to imbibe the best practices from multiple industries and geographies. The program will help in providing me with a holistic view of business and help me in taking on more strategic roles in an organization.

The inclusive culture at Beedie makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. The instructor to student ratio creates a tailored experience to get the most out of the program. The outstanding faculty and variety of co-curricular opportunities allow you to gain a one-of-a-kind learning experience.

What has been your favourite moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

Every day brings in fresh perspectives and learnings. Some of the most exciting experiences so far include the case competitions and the student council elections. I am looking forward to the National MBA games. Additionally, I am really excited about the international applied project scheduled this summer which will undoubtedly be a great learning experience.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

Beedie’s close knit environment makes you feel at ease and creates a safe place to be yourself. The Beedie alumni community is a tight knit one and is always eager to help in any way possible.

One of the first things I noticed on joining the program was the inclusive culture at Beedie. The presence and evolution of EDI initiatives (such as the Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Council) within the community emphasises the seriousness the school takes in creating an environment where everyone can flourish.
