    Vanessa is a PhD student in Management & Organization Studies (MOS). Her research interests include the evolving meaning and nature of work, careers, and career development in the contemporary labour force. Within her program of study, Vanessa is collaborating with firms across Canada to explore how the modern labour context influences job mobility and voluntary job turnover behaviours of employees.

    Vanessa joins us after completing her Masters in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto. Vanessa was the top graduating student of her year and achieved UofT’s Frank Reid Prize. She also has a BBA honours from the Beedie School of Business in human resources and marketing. Prior to pursuing a PhD, Vanessa worked in industry at a leading professional services firm and a large multi-union transit authority.
