Biography

Ehsan is a Doctoral Candidate at the Beedie School of Business, specializing in Management Information Systems (MIS). He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Information Technology Management from the University of Tehran. His research focuses on the intersection of technology and group dynamics, drawing insights from complex adaptive systems, computational modeling, social psychology, and organization theory.

Ehsan's interdisciplinary work explores the dynamics of Digital Collective Behavior within contexts such as online communities and social media. His recent studies examine emotional contagion patterns on X (formerly Twitter), technology-enabled self-organization in physical group work (e.g., disaster relief volunteers), and joint consumption behaviors in the movies market. He has shared his findings at several venues, including INFORMS, AOM, AMCIS, and the SIGDSA Symposium.

Beyond academia, Ehsan enjoys blogging and volunteering. He is an active member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and the Academy of Management (AOM) and has held leadership positions in the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
