Biography
Lesley supports grad student professional development through applied and experiential learning opportunities across all SFU Beedie Masters programs. She leads the strategic planning and operations of the Graduate Student Engagement Office, and supports experiential learning components such as industry consulting projects, academic competitions, new student orientations, and international applied projects. Her role includes advising student club leaders, coaching case teams and facilitating the case competition training program, hosting cross-cohort networking and social events, offering up-skilling workshops and conference opportunities, and collaborating with service units across SFU Beedie such as the career centre, alumni office, and recruitment. Lesley strives to compliment graduate business curriculum with engaging and memorable development opportunities that students will utilize beyond graduation.
Lesley has worked in post-secondary student affairs for many years, with experience in academic advising, admissions, program management, curricular and co-curricular course design, and student development and engagement. She holds a a Bachelor of Arts (University of Toronto), a Master of Education specializing in Post-Secondary Leadership (Simon Fraser University), and is currently a Doctor of Education candidate (University of Saskatchewan).
