Payman research interests are in data science, operations management (both manufacturing and service), transportation & logistics, and innovation & entrepreneurship. He has worked with many international high-tech companies such as Samsung Semiconductor, Cypress Semiconductor, Micron Technology, Global Foundries, and Teck Resources on using data science to model and improve operations and supply chain management. Payman has studied the economics of Asia - North America supply chains. His team has assisted several healthcare delivery institutes on their operations improvement. Payman has a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and an MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, both from the University of California at Berkeley.
