Biography

Shahrzad has over eight years of experience in developing competitive research grant applications for national, regional, and provincial funding programs. Since 2013, she was a research grants facilitator/awards specialist with Institutional Strategic Awards (former Major Projects Office) at Simon Fraser University. Shahrzad has worked with many faculty members at SFU to develop successful individual and institutional-level grant applications, e.g., SSHRC, NSERC, Canada Research Chair (CRC), and Western Economic Diversification (WD) applications.

Prior to joining SFU, Shahrzad was a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia (Dept. of Chemical and Biological Engineering).
