Biography

Susan Doig holds a Masters in Business Administration from Royal Roads University, and professional certifications in Permaculture Design, Sustainable Energy Management and Supply Chain Management.  Susan’s passion for the environment is a central theme in both her professional life; teaching Sustainability in the Part-time and Full-Time MBA programs at SFU.  And in her personal life where she, along with her husband Tony and a small army of volunteers, are building an off grid radically sustainable learning centre for intentional building.

Their ~10 acre property in Qualicum Bay on Vancouver Island includes a community food forest based on Permaculture ethics of ‘care of planet’, ‘care of people’ and ‘sharing of abundance.  Susan takes a practical, action orientated approach to sustainability.
