As a Ph.D. candidate, Lisa's evolving research interests complement her decade of experience teaching at post-secondary institutions and the foundational research skills earned during her Master's degree. Lisa's research reviews the qualitative and behavioral aspects of sustainability and impact measurement and reporting for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Social Purpose Organizations. She is also interested in the evolving accounting profession and the notion of meaning at work for Professionals, particularly the next generation of Professional Accountants.

In addition to this work, Lisa is a research assistant with the Common Approach to Impact Measurement with Dr. Kate Ruff, an Associate Professor at Carleton University. In addition to her research work, Lisa teaches accounting at the Langara School of Management and Impact Measurement/Reporting at The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

She also holds a Master of Environment and Business from the School of Environment and Enterprise Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. Lisa is grateful for the financial support of the CPAEF as she pursues her doctoral studies.
