Develop Your Career

Explore Your Interests

A business degree is a gateway to limitless opportunities. At SFU Beedie, we offer many paths to discover your potential and pursue your interests.

Career Advantage

Exploring different industries will help you select the concentration(s) best aligned with your goals. Each month, we offer opportunities and events such as info sessions, career panels, coffee chats, company tours, and more, that revolve around a particular concentration. You’ll discover the skills and experiences required for success, hear from industry leaders, and learn about on-campus resources.

Sign up for the events on Beedie Community.

Student Organizations

Involvement in student organizations is an excellent way to learn more about an industry, develop your skills and gain hands-on experience. Clubs offer opportunities to lead projects, organize events, and build your personal and professional networks. Consider applying for an executive position in a club to foster leadership and interpersonal skills.

Networking Events and Information Sessions

Learn about different companies and their work cultures through on-campus opportunities and local tours. Throughout the year, we work with representatives from various industries, including food and beverage, retail, apparel, accounting, and others, so you have the chance to explore different career options.

Vault Guides

Vault publishes numerous employer, career, internship, resume, and interviewing guidebooks that cover diverse industries such as law, consulting, investment banking, health care, energy, advertising, and more. They also have a career information website featuring employee surveys of top employers, career advice, job listings and career guides to individual industries.

Our partnership with Vault provides you with unlimited access to downloadable versions of these valuable guides.
