Case Competition Training Program 2025

Dates: January 16 to March 22, 2025
Registration Status: Open
Registration Deadline: 11:59 p.m. (PST), December 10

The Case Competition Training Program (CCTP), presented by the SFU Beedie Student Engagement and Development Office, is designed to provide students with a foundational framework of skills and techniques that are necessary for successful case competitors. Over the course of the program, participants will engage in 7 learning modules that cover key concepts and theories. With the help of seasoned Faculty coaches and experienced case competitors, participants will receive direct feedback and guidance on their progress while also having the opportunity to practice applying their knowledge with their peers.

Students who complete CCTP will also be invited to form a team with members from their cohort to compete in one of SFU Beedie's annual case competitions, Peak or Elite. This is an opportunity to experience a real-life case competition, solidify learning, and put theory into practice for a chance to win real prize money.

Following Peak/Elite, students will also have the opportunity to participate in Beedie Case Competitors Drafts, where we select strong competitors for our SFU Beedie teams competing in national and international case competitions against schools from across the globe.

General Information

The Case Competition Training Program is encouraged for both new and experienced competitors. While new competitors will gain the foundational skills required for case competitions, experienced case competitors will find benefit in further refining their skill set, enhancing their understanding and aptitude for the foundations skills. Through a step-wise process, you will gain experience and a strong understanding of what is involved in effective case deliberation, case analysis, research, recommendations, implementation, and presentations. Our aim is to help set up SFU Beedie students for success in future case competition endeavors, both internally (at Peak & Elite, for example) and externally at regional, national and international competitions.
