MCCP

Management Consulting Career Preparation

Founded in 2015 and in partnership with SFU Beedie’s Career Management Centre, the SFU Management Consulting Career Preparation (MCCP) Program is a skill development program for SFU undergraduate business students who are interested in careers in Management Consulting—with an emphasis on strategy consulting or strategic functions of a company. As interviews for this field continue to be amongst the hardest interviews to pass, MCCP is designed to best prepare students to obtain and pass these multi-faceted and multi-level interviews. The program is a cohort-style model, where each year a very selective number of students are asked to take part after the application & interview process.

The program is a rigorous 10 week program, partaking each Summer throughout June and August. The program consists of lecture-based workshops and multiple firm visits for participants to get exclusive networking opportunities with some of the top global consulting firms. Participants are expected to dedicate roughly 10-15 hours in total a week to succeed in the program. Aside from regular sessions or firm visits, the cohort is expected to complete a minimum number of business cases with each other outside of the sessions. To learn more, please refer to the Program Structure page.

Past participants have landed multiple strategy or consulting-related positions in firms, and this network is continuing to grow.

Applications for MCCP 2024 will run from March 20, 2024 to April 3, 2024. To apply for this program, please refer to the Apply page.
