The GROW Conference has been a perfect platform for entrepreneurs to connect with tech industry leaders. As a Beedie Ambassador, I was privileged to absorb first hand knowledge about transforming brilliant ideas into executable options, attracting talent, and using core values of a company to solve problems.
One of the speakers that struck me is the CEO of InteraXon who produced a Muse, a headband controlled by brainwaves. I was amazed at how technology can be so perfectly combined with our daily life.
Another highlight of this event is the opportunity to meet a lot of people. Never would I imagine myself having a conversation with a developer in the video gaming industry, especially when I do not have much expertise in it. Moreover, this developer is an SFU alumnus with a cognitive science background. With a huge passion at what he does, it was hard to believe that he has been writing code for games for over 20 years. I was also lucky to get to know other ambassadors present at the conference.

She is eager to share her exciting experience with fellow students and make a positive impact while representing Beedie and SFU in the community.
