Simon Fraser University has been ranked as one of the top 25 universities in the world under 50 years old as part of Times Higher Education’s (THE) Top 100 Under 50 – one of only five Canadian universities listed in the worldwide ranking.
The THE Top 100 Under 50 provides a glimpse into the future of higher education, showcasing the rising universities which show great potential.
In addition to SFU being listed as one of the most promising young universities, the ranking also included four of the Beedie School of Business’ preferred business international exchange partner universities.
Nanyang Technological Institute in Singapore and Maastricht University in the Netherlands were ranked in the top 10 universities under the age of 50, while both Queensland University of Technology in Australia, and the University of Bath in England were named in the top 35.
“Beedie students have amazing choices for where they can go on exchange to have a global experience,” said Liana Swedahl, International Coordinator at the Beedie School of Business.
“To be ranked in the same league as these outstanding universities speaks volumes about the quality of education, programming, and services offered by Simon Fraser University, and means that Beedie students can go to any of our preferred partner institutions with confidence, knowing that their education and overall experience will be world-class.”
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2014-2015 are the only global university performance tables to judge world-class universities across all of their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
The top universities rankings employ 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, which are trusted by students, academics, university leaders, industry and governments.
