SFU Business student Milun Tesovic named 2009 National Student Entrepreneur Competition Champion

Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) and founding sponsor CIBC are pleased to announce the 2009 National Student Entrepreneur Competition Champion – Milun Tesovic of Metroleap Media Inc. and full-time student of Simon Fraser University.
Milun Tesovic made it through a provincial and regional round of competition before traveling to Toronto to compete for the National title and a cash prize of $10,000. At the national level of competition, six regional champions showcased their business success, while attending a post secondary institution full time, to a panel of over 30 top executives who selected this year’s award recipient.
Operating “Metroleap Media Inc.” has provided Milun with the opportunity to:

  • Create a market and revenue stream for the music industry
  • Be named the Second largest music website online as of January 2009 (Source: Hitwise)
  • Reach 32 million visitors per month.

Milun Tesovic will now have the opportunity to represent Canada at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards to be held in Chicago, Illinois this fall. Currently operated by Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and supported by Mercedes-Benz Financial, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards program has recognized students for over 20 years who are successfully building businesses while pursuing academic degrees.
