The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University has been ranked as one of QS’s “Emerging Global” business schools as part of a survey that is informed by over 3,000 employers around the world. The list, part of a larger ranking of the world’s top 200 business schools in theworld, describes “Emerging Global” schools as those “that have an established reputation for excellence well beyond their region”.
The newly-published 2012-13 QS Global Business Schools Report is based on a survey of more than 3,300 active MBA employers worldwide who were asked to identify the business schools from which they prefer to recruit. The top 200 schools have been split into four categories, based on employer recognition, including the Emerging Global category.
According to QS, business schools in the “Emerging Global” category “attract high-quality candidates from all over the world, and graduates can expect to earn highly competitive salaries.”
Some of North America’s leading business schools are included in the group along with SFU, including Vanderbilt University, the University of Southern California, the University of Virginia, Carnegie Mellon, the University of North Carolina and the University of Texas.
